Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the ChatPeer Chrome extension and this website. Installing the extension or buying a licence means you accept them.
What a licence grants
A licence is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable. It lets you use the paid features of the extension on up to three devices at a time. Each device is identified by a randomly generated install ID, not by anything derived from your hardware. If you run out of device slots — a reinstall, a new machine — email support@chatpeer.co and we will reset the list.
The free tier requires no licence and no account. It includes every feature, most of them with a limit, and you may use it for as long as you like.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense or publish your licence key. Keys found in public circulation will be revoked.
- Use one licence across more people than yourself, or attempt to bypass the device limit.
- Reverse engineer the extension in order to circumvent licensing, or redistribute a modified copy.
We may revoke a licence that is being used this way. Where the breach looks accidental we will contact you first.
Payment and billing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include the plan you select at checkout.
- Monthly renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges and returns the extension to the free tier at the end of the paid period. Your folders, tags, bookmarks and prompts are stored in your browser, so nothing is deleted when a subscription ends.
- Lifetime and All Access are one-time payments. There is no renewal and nothing to cancel. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not a guarantee of any particular period.
- Upgrading from Lifetime to All Access costs the difference, not the full price again.
Refunds
Fourteen days, unconditional. The full policy is on the refund policy page.
Your data
Conversation content never reaches our servers — the extension has no endpoint that would receive it. What we do store is a licence key, the email address you bought with, and a device count. The privacy policy sets this out in full and takes precedence over this summary.
Availability and changes
ChatPeer works inside Claude and ChatGPT, which are operated by other companies and change without notice. We fix breakages as quickly as we can, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, and a change made by Anthropic or OpenAI may temporarily or permanently affect a feature.
We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid licence provides, we will say so rather than let you discover it.
No warranty
The extension is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or that it will suit a particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything you rely on — including exports, which is what the export feature is for.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to ChatPeer is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Where a change is material we will notify licence holders by email at the address used to purchase.
