1. Platform coverage
Echoes supports seven hosts: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek and AI Studio. It also recognises ChatGPT Projects and Gemini Gems natively. ChatPeer supports two — Claude and ChatGPT.
This is the widest coverage of any product on this site, and there is no argument to make against it. If your work is spread across more than two assistants, Echoes does something ChatPeer does not attempt.

Both index locally and both search across the platforms they cover. Echoes goes further on query syntax: fuzzy matching that survives typos, logical operators, quoted exact phrases and word-stem matching.
